The Breeze guards Trial Chambers, and you’ll need to defeat it to collect Trial Keys that unlock treasure vaults. It also drops unique items that are useful for crafting.

What Is the Breeze?
The Breeze is a wind-based mob that appears in Trial Chambers. It moves through the air, much like the Blaze, but attacks by firing wind charges at players. These wind charges can knock you back and trigger traps, making it tricky to fight.
The Breeze is thought to be related to the Blaze since they share similarities. While the Blaze resides in the Nether’s fiery environment, the Breeze fits into the Overworld’s windy and natural surroundings.
How to Find the Breeze in Minecraft 1.21
You can find the Breeze in two ways: Survival Mode or Creative Mode.
Survival Mode
- village’s Cartographer isn’t at this level, trade with them to level them up.
- Buy the Trial Explorer Map: Use 12 Emeralds and a Compass to purchase this map.
- Use the Trial Explorer Map
The map will guide you to a Trial Chamber. The chamber’s location is marked by a flower-like symbol.
- Locate the Trial Chamber
Travel to the marked spot and dig down. Trial Chambers are usually found at Y-level -20 to -40. Look for structures made of Copper Blocks and Tuff Bricks.
- Find the Breeze
Inside the chamber, locate the Chiseled Tuff Block room. Trigger the Trial Spawner there to summon the Breeze.
Creative Mode
In Creative Mode, finding a Trial Chamber is easier:
- Use the command
/locate structure minecraft:trial_chambers
.
- The coordinates of the nearest chamber will appear in the chat. Click the coordinates to teleport there.
- Find the Chiseled Tuff Block room to locate the Breeze.
How to Defeat the Breeze
The Breeze is a flying mob that attacks with wind charges. Here’s how to take it down:
Movement and Attack Behavior
The Breeze attacks if you’re within 16 blocks.Its wind charges knock you back and deal half a heart of damage. Be cautious of fall damage from elevated areas.Projectiles like arrows won’t work, as the Breeze repels them.
Strategies
Carry a Shield and Melee Weapon
Use the shield to block wind charges and strike back with your weapon. Avoid using bows.
Deflect Wind Charges
With good timing, you can use your weapon to deflect wind charges, but be careful not to hit teammates.
Stay Mobile
Keep moving to avoid being an easy target. Jump and run while attacking to stay safe.
What Loot Does the Breeze Drop?
Defeating the Breeze gives you two main rewards:
